Hello, we have a concern/question regarding the best way to price in appropriate costs for international seller fulfilled orders. As international orders are shipped DDP, we set our own marketplace prices for example to include ~13-15% duties for certain products sent to Canada as duties includes local sales tax which is 10%+ for most provinces. We just received an order from a Canadian buyer using a Canadian address, however, they paid the US list price and sales channel indicates it's Amazon US.
So buyer has effectively paid the same price as a US domestic buyer with their local sales tax and all import fees included. Is this normal? Are we missing a setting that forces buyers to correct marketplace price? I am thinking in lieu of such an option we would need to increase our shipping fees to include duties but this would be tough to accommodate if we have multiple countries.

Just in general: the rules are completely different when you offer international on the dot com site vs. listing on another country platform.
When an international buyer orders from the dot com site, they are responsible for any imposed duties / customs fees, etc.
When you list on the platform of another country, then a resident of that country, ordering from that site, must not be required to pay any sort of duty or fee (at least not beyond VAT etc charged by Amazon)
You should be aware of carrier performance. I am specifically thinking of the outrageous fees imposed by UPS just for collecting fees. So an international buyer, ordering from the dot com site might be expecting to pay (just as an example) about $12 on their order -- and UPS demands $75
This is going to bite you. One way or another.
When selling on the dot com site and allowing international, you must naturally charge according to your projected cost.
