Account suspended for violation of section 3

Hi,

Our account has been suspended because of claimed violation of section 3 of Amazon's business agreement. They asked us to provide utility bills, but this was not possible because we rent the facility and have a lease agreement in the name of our business, which is verified by notary. So it is a legal document. We explained that that's why we couldn't submit any utility bills, nonetheless, it was not accepted as a good reason.

A business may rent an office from a facility and there is nothing against it in the law. We have the business license, lease agreement, and any other related document to prove that our business is valid but Amazon does not accept it.

I wonder if it's possible to resolve this issue in any other way.

Post your original suspension notice here-need to see the wording of the Section 3 offense.

Hello @Seller_afhA3GRPAb7La,

Thank you so much for your contact here!

I understand your frustration with Amazon's request for utility bills in your company's name, especially since you have provided a valid lease agreement verifying your business location. Let me explain Amazon's perspective on this issue:

Amazon's policies are designed to verify the legitimacy of seller accounts and protect customers from fraudulent activities. Utility bills in the business name help Amazon confirm that the seller is operating from the location they claim, which is an important part of their account verification process.

While a lease agreement can also serve as proof of your business location, Amazon may still request utility bills because those documents directly link the physical address to the business entity. This additional verification helps Amazon ensure the information you've provided is accurate and that your business is legitimate.

I know it can be challenging when a company's policies don't perfectly align with your business situation. However, I have some suggestions that may help verifying your business location, such as:

  • Providing invoices or statements from your landlord that list the business name and address
  • Submitting a letter from your landlord confirming your tenancy and the business address
  • Offering to connect Amazon with your landlord directly so they can verify the details

These are only suggestions and does not guarantee an account reactivation. The key is demonstrating that your business is operating legitimately from the location you've specified.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to provide further guidance as you work through this process.

Best regards,

-Nikki
