Single Member LLC information
Is Anyone familiar with the process of forming a single member LLC and what is necessary to change on amazon.
Since I'm reading Amazon recognizes single member LLCs the same as sole proprietorships, I'm getting the impression i don't have to change any information with my amazon account itself necessarily. Is this true or do i still need to change my information in my account to my LLC (Business name, EIN, etc).

I recently went through taht process by changing the deposit method to my single-member LLC bank account, which also includes my name. I just hadd to upload a bank verification letter because i dont have bank statements yet. The change was successful. As for the tax information, I didn’t make any alterations because when I attempted to do it, Amazon indicated that only my Social Security Number (SSN) or the Employer Identification Number (EIN) linked to me is necessary, rather than the one for my single-member LLC. Therefore, the information they have on file is acceptable, whether it’s my SSN or the EIN associated with my sole proprietorship. It was a challenging experience for me to resolve this, but it turned out to be simpler than I expected. Moreover, according to ChatGPT, updating this information on Amazon does not pierce the corporate veil of my LLC, and I am still reporting correctly to the IRS.
