Received IP Complaint For a Brand Approved to Sell

Recently received an IP complaint for a brand I was un gated to sell. The listing I was on was deleted but when searching for the product the exact same product with a new ASIN comes up which I can still sell. I do not believe the original listing was a generic either. Has anyone experienced this before, if so how did you proceed with the appeal process?

Being ungated by Amazon does NOT mean that you are authorized to sell that brand.

If your account is still active, but you just had the listing deleted, then count yourself lucky. Chances are that the brand has just started complaining to Amazon about unauthorized sellers, so Amazon is giving a bit of a pass. But if you list on the new ASIN (which is probably got something about it to bypass the bots), then you run the risk of losing your account with no chance of recovery.

Unless you have authorization FROM THE BRAND for this product, I would suggest selling off your stock elsewhere and not on Amazon. If you contact the brand, there is a chance that they will allow you to at least sell off your current stock, but there is no guarantee.

Alternatively, you could try to return it to your supplier.

Thank you for the information provided regarding the issues you have been seeing recently. I understand that you received an intellectual property violation due to a specific brand that you were listing. The appeal process will depend upon the specific issue you are addressing. What type of IP issue are you attempting to address? Have you attempted to submit any information as of now? Do you have documents for the brand that you were attempting to list?

As mentioned by @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw, it is important to ensure that you have authorization from any brand that you are attempting to list on the platform. Our team will assume that if you are adding a listing to your inventory that you already have product in your possession and the authorization to sell it. They reserve the right to request documentation at any point if they believe that your products are not compliant. In addition, it is vital to ensure that the specific listing you are utilizing matches all of the details of the product. This means that the brand information is also accurately represented.

We encourage you to continue to provide any information or details that relate so we may gain a better understanding of your situation.

Best,
