question about payment on its way email
Today we received our usual payment is on its way email, and it reads correctly like it always does in the subject line and in the body. However there is an addition at the top of the body that says Disbursement Attempted....and that's never been there before. All the rest reads normal and fine with the amount and sent to account ending in such and such......anyone else seeing this same thing this week? Because attempted and on the way are two different things. We have never had a problem before and this has never been the beginning of the email body before.

I (and others) noticed this some time ago.
And -- no surprise -- it is a lie. That email comes seconds after requesting disbursement, so there can have been no actual "attempt" to disburse, merely the beginning of the process.
And what a horrible way to announce disbursement.

I noticed this on the last payout and then payment popped into the account several days later as usual. They seem to have just updated the template's verbiage. Nothing else.
I agree though, it makes it sounds like, we tried but failed. I wasn't a fan. I have some very large bills this month for suppliers and seeing that on the email had me very worried.

I'll chime in to say I had the same experience as others; saw the message, got worried, but money showed up in account just as expected.
Note that right now, there might be a day longer than normal wait due to the holidays.

It's obvious someone or some people in IT at AMAZON do not have a command of the English language. ATTEMPT typically means 'TRIED' but 'UNSUCCESSFUL'.

That's so bad and it causes unnecessary stress. This wording implies that you're not getting your money. When you see a 'delivery attempted' notice on your door, it means that the courier turned around and DID NOT deliver your stuff.
