Need to Change Brand Name
We need to change our brand name on several products from Saffire Grills to Saffire. We created a brand store named Saffire, and we want all of our products to have that new brand name. We had a Vendor Central account with some of these products on it before we set up our Seller Central account. Every case we've created we get the same response, "we can't update your brand name, need to create a new ASIN". But there is no way to create a new item using the same product name and UPC number on Amazon. It constantly keeps associating with the existing product and ASIN, and not allowing us to pick the correct brand name. Do we need to delete the product from Vendor Central first? If so, how?

They are correct. For a new brand name you need to re-crate your catalogue. You can't just change the brand name.

Thank you for reaching out with your concerns with your products brand. As mentioned by @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9, you will not be able to change an ASIN to a new Brand and you won't be able to reuse the previous UPCs for the product. I'm sorry for the difficulties this creates. Per the Product detail page rules Brand Name change requests are considered re-branding and will not be supported. You will need to create new ASINs and you will not be able to reuse UPCs for these new ASINs. Thank you for your understanding.
