How to apply to a Brand registry since I am a handmade seller?

Hello!

Please could someone help me to find where to apply to a Brand Registry since I am a handmade seller (for years) on Amazon and obviously I don't have a tradmark and it is very expensive for me as for a small business to have it. All my items are one of a kind and I seldom remake them again and again.

I have asked the customer support several times but I get the same reply that doesn't match my question.

My items' brand was changed automatically from my brand to generic already and its frustrating since customers even can't visit my shop from the brand name under the title of my items.

Thank you in advance,

Olga

Unfortunately, Amazon discontinued the brand waiver for handmade sometime last year. Here is what they want now:

"To enroll a brand, you will need to provide the following information: Your brand name that has an active registered or pending trademark; the trademark for your brand must appear on your products or packaging and you must provide images that depict this."

I make things with my own two hands. They are not computer generated or 3D produced. I only have a small inventory of items in my store due to the time it takes me as an individual to make them. I do not wish to spend the small profit I make on expensive packaging or applying for a trademark when an item is considered copyrighted when created by the artisan. Whomever is in charge of making decisions for handmade should realize this. I am not sure if these administrators have real experience in the arts of needlework, woodworking, painting or other truly handmade crafts.

Hi @Olga_Lymar,

Thanks for the post. To add onto @lastade's guidance, until you have enrolled in Brand Registry, you will have to list your products as generic. Once you have a trademark and enroll with Brand Registry, you can relist your products under your own brand name.

Kindly note that we ask sellers to create new ASINs to "re-brand." You will not be able to change from "generic" to your brand name. Please see the help page and look at the details under Policies for editing detail pages.

Best regards,
