Delete inactive account

My account is inactive but I want to delete it permanently. It won't let me proceed with deleting it because it is inactive. How do I contact Amazon to get this figured out? The UX experience on this seller site is awful

If by "inactive" you mean "Deactivated", you would need to resolve whatever violation caused the account to be deactivated. You cannot close an account that is not in good health or has any outstanding violations.

Thanks for reaching out to Amazon Forums. As @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw mentioned, you need to first activate your account and resolve any pending issue. After doing that, these are the steps to delete your seller account. 

  1. Fulfill any outstanding orders.
  2. Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
  3. Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
  4. Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
  5. Confirm that your bank account information on file is up-to-date to receive a final payment.
  6. Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.

If you meet all the points mentioned above and you still have not been able to close your account, please open a case with our Seller Support team and share the case number with me.
