Transparency Program Abuse
I believe a brand is abusing the transparency program.
As per Amazon:
For every product enrolled, brands are required to apply unique Transparency codes, or submit their serial numbers, for every unit manufactured for that product.
However they are only selectively providing Transparency codes. Instead of using the program to verify authenticity it is essentially creating a monopoly on Amazon.
Can anything be done about this, or is this what the program is intended for?

We've seen that issue for years. It can be expensive to put transparency codes on each and every product manufactured even when not sold on Amazon.
Unless it's your brand, I doubt there's anything you can do about it.

We will not put it on every package (since it is only 1.2% of our sales) so we don't use the program. I get why companies do, especially wanting to ensure everything on Amazon is authentic from their brand and authorized for sale. My best suggestion is to buy directly from the brand wholesale so you will have transparency.

I see nothing wrong with protecting a brand you have worked hard to build.
Also as a brand owner you have full control over what distribution channels you allow including down to individual sellers.
Are you upset that you are not allowed to sell an item you've likely sold for years on Amazon because the brand has started using the codes?
Amazon is a monopoly itself, so for other micro-monopolies to exist on Amazon seems highly normal.
