Floor loaded shipping now available for Amazon Partnered Carrier program
We’ve added a floor loaded option for inbound full-truckload and intermodal shipments as part of our Amazon Partnered Carrier program.
Alongside our existing palletized loading option, the floor loaded option gives you more flexibility to choose the right loading method for your products.
With this new option, you’ll put your products directly onto the Amazon trailer. You won’t need to palletize your items first or use a forklift to move them. This option also allows you to ship products that may not fit on a pallet.
To use the floor loaded option for your shipment, take the following steps:
- Go to Send to Amazon.
- Start your shipment creation and complete steps 1-3 as normal.
- In step 4, click Amazon partnered carrier.
- Click freight loading method and select floor loaded.
For more information, go to Amazon Partnered Carrier program.

This very well could be a game changer for us! I would love to use this, but some of the requirements may deem it unusable for our use-case. We sell flagpoles that are in boxes typically 90"x5"x5". So very long and skinny. We very often ship our FTL and FCL shipments floor loaded and lay them wall to wall for stability. The requirements state that we need to maintain 3 inches from the container walls which is a big issue with how thin our products are. They can't balance very high at all without some sort of side support. We ship and receive floor loaded containers of our products on a daily basis and this has never been a requirement for anyone else. Maybe straps could be used?
Also are there additional fees for floor loading?
