Utility Bill For Verification

Hi there,

I am just facing an issue regarding utility bill verification. While creating my account, I submitted an Internet service bill, where all the data is accurate according to Amazon requirements. But all of that was just rejected from their side.

I am just confused now. What's the problem? If there's someone to guide us and resolve the issue for us, So we were able to sell and go with our business.

Most probably something doesn't match EXACTLY with what you have in your settings as "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address". If in your settings you put "John Miller" and on the utility bill there is "Miller John": that's a mismatch.

Account verification

• All documents must be in the requested format and size (PDF where requested or , or image, if permitted, from scanned or photographed original, not a screenshot.

• All documents names and addresses must match exactly as entered at registration

• Every high resolution image you send must be unobstructed, including the corners, clear, clean (without shadows and smudges) and easy to read. Not tampered with, not a screen shot!

Do not circle or high light anything.

• Before you can sell, you must upload a credit card. This CANNOT be a debit, or prepaid card.

• Do not send more, or less, but exactly what you were asked for

• Always send the complete document, for example, do not send just the 1st page of a bill or statement, send the entire, complete document

• If you need a translation, make sure it is notarized and include the original

• Show both sides of your ID

• Bank or credit card statement must have bank name or logo, address and account holder's name

• Bank or credit card statement and Business License must be PDF)

• ID Expiration date and birthday must be in Gregorian calendar

• only piped utility bills are accepted, however, if you have none in your name, see instructions further down

4. Must be issued within the past 90 days

If your utility bill is under another person/ entity name, do submit additional documents to prove the relationship

If your utility bill is under your parents’ name, you will need to submit your parents’ passport details and your Birth Certificate to prove the relationship.

If your utility bill is under your spouse’s name, you will need to submit your spouse’s passport details and your Marriage

Certificate to prove the relationship.

If your utility bill is under your landlord’s name, you will need to submit your landlord’s passport details and your Landlord-Tenant Agreement to prove the relationship.

If your utility bill is under your corporation’s name, you will need to submit your Business License to prove the relationship.

To complete verification of your account, you will have to provide a utility bill dated for piped gas, natural gas, electricity, piped water, mobile phone, fixed-line phone, or internet service with your name on it. These documents will be rejected if any other name is on it.

Please see below for additional requirements these documents must meet.

  • It must contain the following information: your name and address, the service provider's name and additional information such as date of issue and due date, service provider's address, service provider's logo, and usage details if applicable.
  • Your name and address must be visible and match the name and address that you entered in Seller Central.
  • It must have been issued in the last 90 days.
  • It must be a full page and unobstructed including corners.
  • It must have a high definition and be clear and readable. The required information must be visible and in focus.
  • It must be authentic and unaltered.
  • It must not be protected with a password. You can re-upload the same document without the password protection or upload a photo of the document. For security reasons, do not reply to this email with the password.
  • It must not be a screenshot.
  • It must be in one of the supported languages. Supported languages include Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, and Vietnamese. If the documents are not in one of the supported languages, you must submit a notarized translation into one of the supported languages along with the original document.
