Tax ID verification (INFORM Consumer Act)

I'm a non-US resident and individual seller. I've varified all items only except "Tax ID number". I can see in this forums that a lot of other sellers got in trouble about this issue. I kept entering Tax questionnaire several times, but it's never finished. I even don't know I finished this Tax questionnaire correctly or not. (someone said Amazon is working on this.)

Should I wait for further update or email from Amazon ?? Then, by when ?? It really makes me anxious whenever I see the warning sign, "Your account is at risk of deactivation"..

Good Evening @Seller_K9QoZB45XjT4a - I just wanted to clarify with you regarding the issue you are having around reverification of your tax information.

  1. After you fill out the signature portion of the form and then click the yellow submit button below, you are not seeing the submission go through?
  2. Or are you just not seeing the little green arrow pop up on your Account Health dashboard saying you have completed that portion of tax ID number right away?

Hi Cooper, we have the same issue when submitting our UK Tax ID information. Enter the number, upload the evidence ok and then submit with a message confirming it has gone through. However dashboard shows still required. Tried 3 times in 4 days and cannot get it to go to verification. There appears to be a systems error, please advise

I have similar issue. I am not able to submit the info after I enter TIN.

I have reached out to Amazon multiple times via phone, opening cases and also here on the forum....I was sent to read FAQs which do not address this type of error.

It is so frustrating, my case was closed with ''we have no solution'' excuse and via phone their best reco was to verify VAT number which has nothing to do with Tax ID verification or TIN.

At this point I am completely stuck - can someone actually fix this?

Hi, I have the same issue. I submitted the tax is several times through 2 different browsers, I see the "Exit Interview" button but then when I return to account health the "Tax ID Number" is not showing "in progress"

I am a seller outside the United States.

It will not be in progress. What should I do?

I've tried all the tax numbers, but none seem to be accepted.

Today, "Tax ID number" has changed to "in progress" luckily. However, I'm wondering how many days it will take for final verification because I saw some posts it's been in this "in progress" status over last 6~7 days. I believe you will give us good news soon after contacting with your seller reverification team, but sooner is better for us always. Looking forward to hearing you soon :)

Finally! All verification has been done by today and yellow deactivation warning sign was gone from my dashboard!! Back to clean dashboard again :) Long journey about 1 month is over now and I can sleep well :) Thanks to Cooper and Amazon team!
