Amazon automate pricing is changing SKU price without being on the list.

Hello world, I am in the books category on Amazon

Since mid-October, I have noticed I had several merchant fulfilled sales with a price that was lower than what I originally posted the price for had sold. Usually, 50% less or more. I did not change these prices.

I am not using a 3rd party repricer. However, under the Amazon automate pricing, I can see that the Competitive Price Rule by Amazon button is set to active, with 0 skus attached. I never set this and there is no option to disable.

I believe this feature is bugged and acting on its own, because out of all the skus that had the price reduced, under inventory-edit-price I can see this note: Your SKU is being priced using Automate Pricing; therefore, you will not see fees or a price. I can provide screenshots of this.

This is simply not true. The skus are not into any template.

I researched the price history including data from a company that is an Amazon subsidiary with marketplace tracking information named Keepa, confirming this trend of certain skus started to change around October.

I spoke with seller support, and the case was upgraded to an automate pricing representee, they were competent in searching for a solution, when I asked if they could manually delete these templates for me the answer was “I wish.” An honest answer. Ultimately it was to delete the sku and reupload it, but that wont fix future issues with random skus.

Its very frustrating to carefully research the price history of an item and then have an amazon bot slash it without my consent. I am in a position where I will fulfill some of the orders but most of them are going to get canceled and moved to another platform. I hate cancelling orders; I am grateful to be an Amazon vender but this situation I am experiencing is very disheartening.

TLDR:

Please will a Mod find tell the automate pricing department to allow disabling/deleting the 2 templates that are present by default, as they are not operating as expected.

HI @Seller_GdcolstycfMCy,

I am sorry to hear about your pricing issues. I have found your Seller Support case ID: 16671467691 and see that they are working with the correct team. While they are working on this for you, ensure that you have followed the Edit Pricing Rule as stated in the help page to see if that fixes your issue. I would also recommend that you add minimum pricing to your listing as this will prevent your items from being priced lower than what you want them to sell for as I see that you have your minimum price for the 3 ASIN's in your case set to $10 and one of them has it listed for $10 and one SKU for a penny.

I have reached out to the team to see if they can expedite your issue and will update you when I know more.

Please let me know if your issue is resolved after taking the steps I have provided.

Regards,

Michelle
