Mastering Bullet Points: A Guide for Amazon Sellers
Hello Sellers,
Bullet points are a powerful tool for capturing buyers' attention and conveying key product information in a clear, concise manner. As buyers tend to skim through product details rather than read lengthy paragraphs, well-crafted bullet points can significantly enhance their shopping experience. Let's explore some best practices to help you create effective bullet points that truly resonate with your customers.
Highlight the top five features that you want customers to consider. For example:
- Dimensions
- Age appropriateness
- Country of origin
- Warranty information
- Material composition
Best Practices for Bullet Point Formatting:
- Start bullets with capitals for clarity
- Write in concise fragments with no end punctuation
- Use numerals instead of spelling numbers
- Separate phrases within bullets with semicolons
- Spell out measurements like centimetres and quarts
- Avoid hyphens, symbols, periods, exclamation points
Content Guidelines:
- Be specific and precise when describing product features and attributes, avoiding vague statements.
- Focus solely on product information; do not include company-specific details or promotional content.
- Refrain from mentioning pricing, shipping, or company information, as per Amazon's policy.

To be honest I think that Amazon should be stricter, unlike other platforms, a bad listing doesn't affect just the seller who creates it, but all the sellers that want to sell that product. And it doesn't make Amazon look particularly professional.
Perfectly good listings are deactivated or search suppressed for silly reasons, while we have misleading and confusing listings running without any problems.

Great advice
Sometimes though you just can't add bullet points for a listing that is missing one because you didn't create it or not the brand owner.
Sometimes existing bullet points are poor and you can't change them to enhance the listing. Again these often can't be changed.
There needs to be more flexibility from Amazon to allow sellers to update bullet points even where they are not the creator/brand owner.
