One More Bug in A-To-Z Guarantee Claims System - A-Z Claims

Let me tell you about one of the bugs in Amazon's A-To-Z Claims system -

1. Buyer opened A-Z Claim and Amazon granted it in their favor.

2. So you filed an Appeal against it.

3. Now the buyer, for whatever reason, decided to Close / Withdraw the A-Z Claim.

4. But that Appeal you filed previously, is STILL in Amazon's queue.

5. So they REOPENED this Closed case, and then also went on to decide it in the buyer's favor.

The bug here is, Amazon cannot differentiate between Open & Closed AZ Claims when an Appeal has already been filed by the Seller.

Ideally, once the buyer had himself Closed the case, the Appeal you had filed previously should have also been Closed. Guess what, it did not !!!

Yes this is happening to me as well, there are some tell tale signs.

1) When a buyer closes a claim the seller should receive an automated email saying the claim is closed. This doesn’t happen.

2) The seller receives an automated email saying the refund has been issued even though the claim was closed.

3) No email is sent to say the A-Z claim has been granted even though the claim has gone from closed to granted again.

4) Date of claim and date of claim withdrawn makes no sense. For example I have a claim opened on 23 October and closed on 22 October. Maybe the customer has some kind of time machine or something. How can the claim be closed before it’s opened?

I’ve complained about this for several years now but Amazon has done nothing to fix the issue, I’m in the process of complaining about 2 at present. I take screenshots of the A-Z page as soon as the claim is closed so Amazon can see that I’m not just making it up and have explained the issue countless times (well over 100 times over the years). I appealed the decisions showing evidence that customer closed claim, the date discrepancy and item delivery but they still uphold their incorrect decisions. I’m now in the second appeal stage but I’m not holding out any hope of competence and will probably have to keep on calling and emailing them. I’ve opened a case 2 weeks ago as well but it’s been transferred to Never Never Land so I don’t expect to hear anything back from that either. It’s a total disgrace that this keeps on happening and when you show them clearly it’s a glitch Amazon rigidly want to stick to their incorrect decisions.
