my account is deactivated under Section 3

I know each case is different and I tried to find something similar to learn from - but I couldn't find.

My seller account was deactivated under Section 3 - "offering items that are unsuitable and may have been used to engage in deceptive or illegal activity that harms our customers, other selling partners, and our store."

I was asked to provide invoices for four cosmetic products, one of which was sold over a year ago.

As I am not based in the US and I do a wholesale model. I purchase from a supplier authorized by the brands. I have submitted all the requested documentation, including invoices, letters of authorization from my supplier, bank statements, and a copy of my LLC. Despite this, I continue to receive the same response stating that the provided documents are insufficient for reactivating my account.

This situation is critical for me as I have invested several thousand dollars in goods currently held by Amazon, with the risk of them being destroyed soon. These products represent a significant financial investment for me and my family. I placed my trust in Amazon as a means to improve our financial situation, but I now feel abandoned.

I tried to find out why my account was deactivated - I don't know even today. Alos, I don't know why my documents are not enough.

All the messages from Amazon are vague and made for everyone, nothing specific for me. There is no phone to contact. I feel as though I am speaking to walls, with no clear path to resolution.

It seems unfair that Amazon can shut down accounts without providing a clear opportunity for sellers to respond or clarify their position. Meanwhile, I am still incurring charges from Amazon, which adds to my frustration.

I am committed to learning from this experience and ensuring full compliance with Amazon's policies moving forward. Please help me resolve this matter so I can continue my business and support my family.

I have been seeing more and more posts like yours lately. My theory is that Amazon is not accepting the LOA of a supplier as you personally being allowed to sell that product. I believe you might need an LOA with your name or company name (depending on what matches your account info) in order to sell that product. Amazon seems to be getting increasingly picky about this.

Greetings @Seller_ho1Au3EKCZrSD,

Nikki here to help you with. I'm sorry for the delay in responding to your post here at the Seller Forums. Our team of moderators is constantly working to address all inquiries as soon as we can.

My seller account was deactivated under Section 3 - "offering items that are unsuitable and may have been used to engage in deceptive or illegal activity that harms our customers, other selling partners, and our store."

According to the Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements policy, the invoices should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days.

  1. Are your invoices older than 365 days from the day you've listed the item on Amazon and reflect the sales volume of your product(s) across all Amazon marketplaces?
  2. Are your invoices demonstrating your product’s full supply chain?
  3. Does your invoice include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents

Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.

You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.

The forums community and I are committed to assisting you. Feel free to share how we can support you moving forward.

Wish you all the best,

Nikki

" including invoices, letters of authorization from my supplier,"

Basically, what @Seller_qTJiCxRI8PpIZsays only emphatically -- Your supplier can NOT give you an LOA.

An LOA can only come from the BRAND.

"It seems unfair that Amazon can shut down accounts without providing a clear opportunity for sellers to respond or clarify their position."

The Inform Act has no leeway for Amazon or other websites. They are at risk of substantial fines if they do not have proof of provenance and authorizations to sell.

As to your inventory the likelihood of getting it back is slim to none.
