You have to research the distributor and if they are allowed to sell to you for you to re-sell on Amazon. Most brands are requiring a business relationship directly. So, you will need to do your due diligence in vetting who you buy from.

The best is to contact the brand directly and to ask them a "Letter of Authorization" allowing you to sell their brand on Amazon. ONLY this guarantees that you can sell your products and that Amazon will not confiscate and destroy them. Of course the brand will tell you which are their Authorized distributors from whom you can purchase the products.

"is buying products from distributors directly and reselling on Amazon Allowed"
From the looks of their responses neither @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 or @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iACrecognized your handle and didn't look up your LONG HISTORY of asking questions that demonstrate a total lack of knowledge and/or an inability/unwillingness to learn how Amazon works.
Let me get this straight -- your profile indicates that you've been on here for over three YEARS and you're just getting around to asking this now? OH WAIT! NO, you have asked this MULTIPLE TIMES ALREADY.
Who have you been buying from up until this time? Retail websites or in stores? OH WAIT -- Yes, Costco and BJs Wholesale from the looks.
Three years ago you posted THIS --"i often chuckle and roll my eyes on some of these posts and remarks"
Guess what I'm doing right now plus shaking my head in disbelief!
A year ago you posted this --"Should i take investment capital to start Amazon Wholesale. I have an offer"
Based on the new question I sure hope you did NOT take any money from anyone. In that post you stated "I have skills and knowledge. " You might have some skills, but so far are NOT demonstrating the KNOWLEDGE needed for selling on Amazon or any other site.
That same year you also asked this -- "Please suggest how can i hunt profitable Amazon wholesale products" and both @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bland I told you do go to TRADE SHOWS where you would find wholesalers and products. DID YOU pay any attention to those suggestions? If so, WHY are you still asking if you can buy from wholesalers?
Only 8 months ago you asked "Should i buy this product and risk $1500 to begin with...." and were given LOTS of advice about getting an LOA from the BRAND and all you did was complain about how HARD it is to get a brand to open an account. YES, it is hard but so is LIFE. Without putting in the work and getting an LOA you WILL LOSE your account. If not immediately, it will happen eventually.
Also 8 months ago you asked THIS: "Can we buy a product from a distributor who is buying Brands products from Manufacture" and were told AGAIN to get an LOA.
About the same time you asked "What is Amazons policy for reselling items bought from other retailers" and were told AGAIN about an LOA AND you were told by @Topher_Amazon to STOP posting about the same questions. You've been told multiple times-- get LOAs or risk losing your account.
Seven months ago you asked "Are Costco invoices Accepted on Amazon" and you were given DETAILED information by @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EI about why you will get suspended for that!
THEN you had the nerve to ask "Guys can we buy from Bjs Wholesale and sell on Amazon. Are their invoices Accepted on Amazon " and you were told NO by both @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 and @Seller_nRFmxiQg4EGrw as well as being given AGAIN the guidelines for selling on Amazon by @Topher_Amazon.
Finally four days ago you posted THIS -- "Amazon should not Deactivate Accounts Automatically through bots" and are now asking about wholesalers yet AGAIN!
I'm going to reply to you AGAIN but this time it's a bit more direct since you are trolling everyone here --
@Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9and @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC are being kind. Me, not so much --
HINT #1 -- VACATION MODE -- NOW!
HINT #2 -- SELLER U -- NOW!

HINT #3 -- Start writing your "please help with my Section 3 suspension' letter NOW. It will save you time when you get it. Oh wait -- did you get one? Asking based on your 'suspension' post from a couple days ago!
For any rookies out there reading this, it is a perfect example of how to get suspended on Amazon.
BEFORE even trying to start selling, ask yourself these questions --
DO YOU have an LOA from the brand allowing you to sell on here?
DID YOU source from AUTHORIZED wholesale sources that your rep at the brand says are OK.
NOTE that you need verification from the brand that the source is legitimate and authorized, NOT from one of those gray market sellers touted on TikTok and YouTube as having "thousands of brands and products" and assure you that they are authorized.
If you have watched any YouTube or TikTok videos FORGET everything you saw there.
Spend hours/days on Seller U and read the Forum to see all the really creative ways rookies find to get suspended by ignoring the advice above!

Vacation mode UNLESS you are actually suspended!

Greetings @Seller_uVvIgjWQGpUJE,
I recommend reviewing my thread from a few months ago: The Amazon Seller's Playbook: 5 Must-Know Guidelines for Sourcing and Selling Products!
There's a reply in the thread that includes links to the Amazon resources related to sourcing your inventory in accordance with Amazon's policies.
Let me know if you still have questions after review!
