Amazon not accepting applications to sell Other Human Ingestible Products in New, Used Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)

Hi guys, I'm launching a supplement brand on Amazon.

I created the listing and received the error message that says I need to "request approval". I then tried to request for approval and I got the following message:

"We are not accepting applications to sell:

Other Health & Personal Care category in Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)

Other Human Ingestible Products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)"

I am a registered brand owner and am selling this product under my brand in New condition. I should be eligible to list and sell this product.

Amazon Seller Support has been unhelpful cause all they did was simply stating that they are not accepting applications to sell. I am really frustrating right now.

If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.…

If you feel that the categorization is wrong, please reach out to Seller Support so they can investigate this for you. If you are able to get this re-categorized, please provide me with the new case ID so I can look into this further for you.

If you are a brand owner, you can also reach out to Brand Registry Support and ask them to approve you within the Health & Personal Care category, which will allow you to list those products.

I wanted to stop by as @Seller_kIukTwdhvntAp shared above, there have been changes made to the Human Ingestible Products category.

To provide some insights to your question, if you were not already approved to sell in the supplements category, as part of our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible customer experience, Amazon has implemented additional restrictions foringestible supplement products.

Unfortunately, we are not accepting applications for supplements at this time. You are welcome to check back later to see if the category is accepting applications in the future.

If you list your product and believe it has been misclassified within a certain category or sub-category that requires approval, please contact Selling Partner Support with evidence, such as product pictures, to support this claim. Amazon will review your claim and make a final determination that will ensure the best shopping experience for our customers.

In previous escalations on the Seller Forums as you alluded to in your post, we have seen success with clearing this process for those sellers who are Brand Registered.

  • If you would like to learn more about Brand Registry, feel free to check out this link -->HERE<--
  • If the brand you are trying to list is already in Brand Registry AND you have a relationship with the brand, you can be added as an authorized 3rd party reseller through Brand Registry (but the brand has to add you on their end). Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to Selling Partner Support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.

A case ID would help with my investigation but most likely the information above should help explain why you are getting the same message from Seller Support.

I also noticed this was your first post on our Seller Forums, so welcome! We are glad to have you. As a new seller, I definitely recommend using Seller University as your guide in avoid unnecessary fees, confusion about how to add a product and be aware of penalties that may occur on your Selling Account if policies are broken.

If you are not a part of the New Seller Community, I would highly suggest joining and reviewing the content in that group as well.
