Amazon mistake re: product having button cell battery that doesn't have one
My case number is: 17410126691
I’m hoping you can help me with an error Amazon is making in regards to button/coin cell battery compliance for the Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones. The product does not have a button cell battery. Amazon is requiring me to provide a UL 4200A certification/test from an ISO 17025 certified lab as well as many other documents on the non-existent button cell Amazon thinks is in this product. I have contacted several labs, and all of them have said they cannot help me because they cannot perform a button cell battery test on a product that simply does not have a button cell battery. It has a , wired soft shell lithium ion battery, which cannot be tested under the UL 4200A guidelines, as they are only applicable to button cell type batteries.
I don’t know what to do, this is how I pay my bills, really hoping you can help.
Thank you so much,

Dealing with the same thing on a few ASIN's that we sell, I've appealed in the past and had some appeals accepted. Recently I have been having all appeals denied when the products do not use a button cell battery.
We've attempted to explain what batteries the products use, cited the owners manual, and manufacturers webpage, but nothing is working.
The products use rechargable lithium-ion batteries, that are non-removable.
Can the mods provide any insight?

We had the same thing happen to our most popular ASIN last fall. It took four months of appeals before they finally reinstated the product (after the holidays, of course).
Just keep appealing and appealing and appealing.
Also, include the battery and charging method in your bullet points and product description.
Good luck!

post.ive seen other posters include a picture of the battery if possible.

Hi there @Seller_0niKt5MYTYoSl,
In general the best solution to this problem is to show the battery compartment or to demonstrate it doesn't have a button cell battery with the instruction manual and product diagrams that show the content of the product. If after submitting this evidence that demonstrates the type and location of the battery you are still having issues, let me know here and I will escalate for internal review. Thank you for your understanding.
