Current Reserve Amount means £0.00 disbursement!!

Apologies if this is already explained elsewhere, but I couldn't find anything in the new style Forum (searching 'reserve')...

I've not had any kind of Reserve applied to my account up to now, but this morning I went to check my usual fortnightly disbursement and discovered that my entire fortnight's payment has been subject to a Current Reserve Amount for the first time, meaning I don't get any disbursement at all. Is this normal? Seller Support couldn't offer any explanation, and I'm waiting to hear back from their Finance team.

Even if I've been moved on to the standard DD+7 reserve policy, surely I should be getting some of the funds from items posted 13 days ago? Are the 7 days from Delivery Date 7 'working days' or 7 'calendar days'?

It is 7 calendar days from the estimated delivery date. Or if a delivery scan occurs earlier than the estimated delivery date then it is 7 days from that.

As soon as the 7 days has passed you are eligible to withdraw funds for any eligible orders.

Also note if you use Amazon Buy Shipping and buying postage paid RM items then the chargeds for these are deducted from the balance you are able to withdraw.

Could it be any other reason for the reserve?

My reserve was quite low and then it was dramatically increased after I received a return request from a customer, I guess in order to leave money in my account to cover the refund.

I seem to have gone on this too, disbursement should be today and it is now showing 9 September and no option to change it or request disbursement. It is a good job it is the end of the month.

We have no disbursements available and are owed a lot of money. Amazon seems to have stopped releasing funds for disbursement this past week?

This should not come as a surprise to you. Here's a copy of the email they sent out to everyone in May of this year:

Hello,

Your reserve policy change – Postponed to 7 August 2024

We recently notified you that we will move your account to the standard base reserve policy called “Delivery Date Based Reserve” or “DD+7”. To allow you additional time to prepare, we have postponed the date to 7 August 2024.

What this means for your business

When the new reserve policy takes effect on 7 August 2024, funds from sales will be available for disbursement on the delivery date plus seven days. For example, if you ship an item on 1 June, and the delivery date is 4 June, the funds will be available for disbursement from 12 June.

Why are we moving you to this policy?

Sellers registered after August 2016 have operated under this policy for seven years. This change will standardise our reserve policies for UK and EU sellers and ensures sellers have sufficient funds to cover any financial obligations like product returns or customer claims.

How to request additional support

If you are concerned about the impact this transition has had, please contact us and we’ll evaluate available options to help you, including a transition extension to 30 September 2025.

How to prepare for this change

We understand this change in policy may cause a one-time cash flow issue for your business and may temporarily impact your ability to disburse funds if your balance is lower than the reserve fund required. Please use this additional time to prepare, by ensuring you are able to manage any short-term cash flow challenges your business may experience when transitioned on 7 August 2024.

Hve you had any reply or any more funds released?
