SKU is associated to more than 1 GCID

I don't know what's going on with Amazon but I swear at least 20% of the books I attempt to list nowadays fail to be listed due to this error:

You are receiving this error as you may be adding Offer-Listing(s) or editing a SKU not present in your catalog or one that’s been deleted. If this was a deleted SKU, wait 24 hours before resubmitting it. If you tried to add this SKU to the Amazon catalog before, check your data and correct any errors before resubmitting. If product is being added to a marketplace from another one, it may require few hours for localization before it is valid, please check your seller account for progress or any issues.

If I then attempt to list the item via bulk upload using the EAN instead of the ASIN, which gets around this error sometimes, it then gives me this:

Error 8684 SKU is associated to more than 1 GCID, which is not allowed. Please send a delete feed for this SKU and all other SKUs with the same attribute values [merchant_suggested_asin], and then resubmit the SKUs. For more details, see https://sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/GKDKNT3DP4MMUGCK

Let me be very clear that the SKUs I am using are brand new and are not "associated to" any GCID or ASIN or anything. There is something wrong with these items that makes it completely impossible for anyone to create offer listings for them.

The robotic "seller support" is completely unable to help with this issue that has been ongoing over a year. Is there anyone who can put me into contact with an actual human being?

Actually figured out the root of the problem.

Attempting to list the problematic ASIN 0805211195 using the detailed Add a Product page, I eventually encountered this error:

img

The alleged conflicting ASIN B007CVZB7W does not exist: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007CVZB7W

It would seem I'm unable to list this item because there are conflicts with an invisible, non-existent ASIN which looks like it was probably a rip off/clone page created by some Chinese seller "JIOBBO".

There are thousands/tens of thousands of items on Amazon just like this one right now which no one can add offers to because of this problem.

I dealt with the same issue for months, opening support cases, waiting days just to have them respond, “copy listing and make a new product”. This from Amazon support team in full knowledge that item was a media book page controlled by Amazon. When the problem got to 10+ ISBNs a day, I pressed phone support until I got a wonderful rep who finally got me connected to a ‘leadership team’ this still did almost nothing for weeks while giving me generic copy paste answers that although not quite, almost entirely missed the point of my issue.

Anyway, after keeping the thread open for months and then going back and forth with investigation team, requesting information I had sent several times over the months, one day they just emailed and said, we don’t see an error, and if there is start a new case (paraphrase)

Then I try and all works, so I list furiously for the next 9 hours and catch up the hundreds of titles. Point is, they know of the issue, someone can fix it, but will take true tenacity to find that person (I think it’s Tim, it’s always a know it all named Tim)

There are still some stock I have errors with, but the pipe is flowing well enough I can’t be bothered, and they sure as heck don’t seem to be bothered either.

Hope this helps
