Amazon Removed 1500+ Parent SKUs, Breaking 75,000 Variations

Hello,

I manage 1,500 products with 75,000 variations, all uploaded via bulk file between 2020-2021. Amazon automatically generated the parent ASINs, and I only have the SKUs. After returning from a two-year vacation mode, I discovered the parent SKUs had disappeared, leaving all variations standalone. I did not remove these parents.

I’ve already attempted manual recreation, but multiple errors make it impossible at this scale. This issue was clearly on Amazon’s side. I’d appreciate any suggestions on how to get these parent SKUs restored and have my variations linked again. Feedback from Amazon reps or anyone with similar experiences would be welcome.

Once the variations are broken, there is no way for us to find the previous parent ASIN. You will need to recreate the variations in your account. You may find this post around how to create variations helpful. If you have issues, please contact Seller Support and provide them with as much information as possible on how you uploaded, which ASIN's you are trying to create a variation for etc so they can investigate and advise you what you may be missing so you can create them from your side, as Amazon does not create variations for sellers. When you create your new variations, new Parent ASIN's will be assigned to your variations.

If you still need help after Seller Support investigates, please provide me with your case ID so I can take a look.
