Hi Amazon BR team,

Thank you for offering the opportunity to discuss the brand registry.

We have below questions , could you help us with:

1)Can the brand owners and brand administrators be the same one?

2)Are there any limitations to connect selling account when you assign the selling roles?

We are now in a brand enrolling process. We got rejected and informed that the business name is not aligned with the information listed in trademark. We have updated the business name and double checked all details between the trademark registration and the information used on Amazon in our latest application. We genuinely believe we supplied identical information, however it seems like Amazon processed the information differently and did not use the latest information we provided. As we cannot access and recheck the information we supplied for brand enrolment on the platform, which makes it even more difficult to identify any discrepancies. (Related case ID 14947083061 )

When we click the appeal button, it doesn't allow you to recheck or update the information. At this period we can do nothing but wait.

As a business eagerly waiting to start on Amazon, and we totally understand that Amazon is serious about the brand identity. We hope Amazon can assist us that is committed to doing everything right and honestly, including registering the brand with the USPTO and starting with our own brand as recommended by Amazon.

Could you let us know how to deal with this situation correctly and effectively?

Thanks again

Lynn

Good morning,

Thank you for taking the time to help answer and address questions regarding Brand Registry.

I was hoping you could help us with the following question:

Most of our listings were originally setup as standalone listings. When trying to create variations for my listings, I have run into problems that the spelling isn't the same. Capital first letter, or all caps, etc... What is the best way to go about correcting these?

I have all GS1 certificates for the UPC's for each listing. Please advise the best course of action.

Thank you for your time

Hi @Seller_sPBYVM8l7SBRL

Thank you for joining our Ask Amazon event yesterday! As promised, I am mentioning you here regarding your question below.

Question: We are having trouble obtaining full brand access to our listings and overriding any previous attributions. Despite being the brand owner and manufacturer of the products, we are unable to update some of our product details due to unwanted contributions. For example, we cannot update our product's title because of an existing Japanese contribution. We have tried contacting Seller Support regarding this issue but have not received a resolution.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this?

Please see the reply from the brand team.

Answer: Hello, and thank you for being part of our conversation! Please contact the brand Administrator and request to have a Selling Role assigned on the brand. Selling Role assignments have an impact on listing prioritization. If you already have a Selling Role assigned, please request that the Administrator review the current users who have a Brand Representative Selling Role assigned to ensure these assignments are accurate and that listings are consistent. The Administrator can review assigned Selling Role via the Manage Selling Accounts tool (login required).

Please also visit the Manage Your Brand Registry Selling Roles document for more information!

Hi Amazon team!

We are about to launch a line of private labeled shoulder bags and would like clarification on the document requirements, specifically invoice and contract with manufacturer in Brand Registry program.

We own a brand and design our product from scratch, including product and packaging designing and have them produced by a Chinese manufacturer under our brand.

While we have reviewed Amazon invoice guidelines (including Apply to sell a product, category, or brand video), we are uncertain how they apply to our specific situation.

The questions are:

  1. Will an invoice in Chinese be accepted for the Brand Registry program?
  2. If so, can the official (VAT added) Chinese invoice (proof of purchase) with QR-code be suitable?
  3. What are the specific requirements for a contract with our manufacturer in relation to the Brand Registry program?
  4. Can the contract with our manufacturer be in Chinese?
  5. Could the logo be affixed on the packaging of shoulder bag rather on the product itself, if applicable?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,

I'm a new Amazon seller, recently registered as an Amazon Handmade seller. I sell only personalized items in my shop. Is it necessary for me to register a brand before I can start selling on Amazon? Can I sell successfully without a brand name? I appreciate that these are questions for Day 1 but I was unable to attend Day 1 and 2.

HI Brand Registry Team, I am trying to launch my product today and the Brand Registry application has been denied as well as the appeal. I believe I have figured out the issue and how to fix it, however, I don't know where to go to add the required proper documents, without filing another application. Can you direct me in what to do, my product is supposed to ship to Amazon today. Thank you.

Hello. I am interested in creating co-branding partnerships similar to those seen with Amazon Essentials & Disney, Betty Crocker & Hershey's, CoverGirl & Star Wars, etc.

In 2021, I was selling "PetMedics Powered by iHome" products under the PetMedics brand and received IP infringement claims for iHome. To address this, I successfully established a co-branding relationship for the brands "PetMedics" and "iHome" via the SAS Core team (CASE 8785030351) [email confirmation below].

The current process involves correlating the two brands via a letter of authorization through support, but I'd like to suggest a more streamlined solution through Brand Registry tools.

Thanks,

Joseph B.

We have a number of suspected intellectual property violations against our own brand. The reason is trademark misuse, against our brand name in our own seller central account. What is the best way to resolve these violations? We have all of our trademarks listed in Brand Registry.

Hi Amazon team,,

I am a new seller on Amazon. My Brand Registry application for the brand has been approved. My store page is also approved. I tried to list my products but was unable to list them. Before the brand registry, I was able to list the products without any errors. Why did this issue occur? Another question is can I sell my products from other brands on Amazon? do I need another seller account to sell generic products after the brand registry?
