Brand Registry: Document Requirements for Privat Lable
Hi everyone!
We are a private label seller and would like clarification on the document requirements, specifically invoice and contract with manufacturer in Brand Registry program.
We own a brand and design our product from scratch, including product and packaging designing and have them produced by a Chinese manufacturer under our brand. While we have reviewed Amazon invoice guidelines (including Apply to sell a product, category, or brand video), we are uncertain how they apply to our specific situation. Unfortunately, the support team is not able to clearly answer the questions asked.
The questions are:
- What type of invoice should we attach to our Brand Registry application given our business model?
- What specific information should this invoice contain (e.g., manufacturer name, address, product description)?
- Will an invoice in Chinese be accepted for the Brand Registry program?
- What are the specific requirements for a contract with our manufacturer in relation to the Brand Registry program?

In regards to your first two questions, an invoice in Chinese is acceptable for Brand Registry, as long as the invoice is within the last 6 months and lists one or more of your product names - be sure to remove or strike out any sensitive information (ie - pricing details).
Your brand's logo should be permanently affixed to the product itself - the exact location is at your discretion. Please see section 3.6 for product information in the Brand Registry Application Guide. You can also check the Brand Registry requirements for permanently affixed brand name - Explained post as well where I answer many seller questions.
Lastly, our requirements are specific to the invoices between you and your manufacturer - we do not have requirements or need visibility into the specifics of the contract with your manufacturer.
