I had the same issue today.

I logged into seller central and there was a banner that our account is at risk of deactivation and that immediate action is required.

My heart fell to my toes.

Oh, I had to verify some information that Amazon already has. All I had to do was click on Edit and save "the (non) changes."

But because there were several of those, our account health temporarily fell below whatever score and triggered a bot to alert us...

Disdainful behavior by the Amazon Gods showing scorn to the inferior lowly sellers.

Not cool cooperate. Not cool at all.

to be fair if they didn't do that then everyone would ignore it lol. We get so many little tips and suggestions in the seller central. I also got a call from a person. They have to suspend you if you don't respond within 10 days so it makes sense.

First, I do NOT disagree with the sentiment at all.

Amazon does not have a velvet glove. All they have is an iron fist.

On the other hand, since almost no one has paid attention to the bits and pieces contained in the Inform Act, there is an actual reason for Amazon to get your (our) attention as rapidly as possible and it all involves THEIR bank account --

A violation of the law is treated as a violation of an FTC rule. So online marketplaces that don’t comply may face FTC law enforcement that could result in civil penalties of $50,120 per violation. The statute also gives enforcement authority to State Attorneys General and other officials authorized by the State. They may file an action in federal court to enjoin further law violation, seek civil penalties and other remedies permitted under state law, and obtain damages, restitution, or other compensation for residents of that state.

Amazon is already on the radar of the Feds and virtually all the sates and DC. How much money do you think they are willing to spend for a bunch of scofflaws at $50 grand a pop?

According to one source (BusinessDIT) there are "there are over 2.5 million people selling stuff on there now?"

Of course, the same source says only "76% of Amazon sellers turn a profit."

Greetings @Seller_Zb1SSKSjU6GwM,

Thank you for utilizing the seller's forum to share your insights regarding the Inform Consumers Act notice.

If Amazon reach out to you for verification purposes, rest assured we'll provide you precise instructions along with a timeline for your response. It's crucial to comply to these timelines as failure to do so or if Amazon encounters difficulty verifying your details, it may result in withholding of payments or deactivation of your selling account. However, you'll have the time and the opportunity to provide the necessary information to successfully complete the verification process.

Your feedback holds significant value for us, and I will ensure to report it to the responsible team.

From experience it's best not too overreact too these threats of acccount deactivation. Just take a breath, read what they are asking for, and take care of the situation. Account Deactivation does not mean it will be, they are just giving you a horribly worded message too usually take care of a minor issue if you check your account health daily.
