Very serious bug! About Amazon Lightning Deal promotions!
We recently did a Lightning Deal promotion for our US AMAZON, but while we were running the promotion, we realized that the prices on the backend promotion, didn't match what our customers were seeing on the front end! Even during the promotion period, the front-end displayed the original price of the product! Our promotion contains 3 SKUs, and all 3 SKUs are displayed at their original price! We checked the front and back ends and found that the backend promotion data, sales show the promotion price, but the front end shows the original price! We went to check the real amount paid by the customer and it was actually purchased at the original price! Went to check the customer's payment amount and it was also the original price! But the sales shown on the promo page were actually the promo price! The sales effect was the same as if we hadn't taken part in the promotion! We suspect that there was no campaign going on at all! Shortly after that we received a chargeback notice for the promotion cost! We've done this promotion before and the results were nothing like if we had participated! This serious situation was discovered during a review this year! Is there a systematic error on Amazon's part! I consulted customer service and all I got was a disappointing perfunctory response! He said the price I put on was the original price, we can't change the price after the promotion is over, and we can't even change the sales figures on the top of the promotion backend! But what the data above shows is that the price we sold at that time is the price of the promotion! But the front end is the original price!
