Amazon marking standard post as lost
Has anybody else had problems with Amazon marking Royal Mail standard post orders as lost. The buyer then messages asking for an immediate refund even if they have received the order. If you ask the buyer to confirm there delivery address for you to check the order they ignore the messages and then raise an A-Z claim against you. How would Amazon know if an untracked order sent through the post is lost? Some honest buyers do message to say it is marked as lost but they have already received it. All very frustrating.

I have exactly the same issue had an email from a buyer yesterday telling me Amazon had said the item was lost but he had received it.
It was an untracked 2nd class letter so Amazon would have no idea if it was delivered or not.

Yes I have exactly this, or they get a message from Amazon telling them it has been delayed only for them to tell me they have received it.

Its because theres no tracking on it. Amazons system is now built to look at tracking. The only way you can avoid it (and only you can work out how many dishonest customers there are) is to upgrade to tracking. even on Royal Mail 48 though - around 20% of those don't get scanned - so you get the same issue.
I can annecdotally say though - when we moved to Tracked 48 - the problem disappeared almost immediately.
