Prime members worldwide also saved nearly $95 billion on fast, free delivery. That means Prime members in the U.S. saved, on average, more than $500 on their deliveries last year - nearly four times the cost of an annual membership fee.

We know that delivery speeds increase purchases of your products, which is why we’re continuing to invest in our logistics and delivery capabilities.

Last year, we expanded the number of Same-Day Delivery sites by more than 60 percent, and we now serve more than 140 metro areas.

Prime members in the U.S. responded to our faster delivery speeds by placing an average of nearly 100 orders per member last year. That's nearly two orders per member, every week.

The bots are now writing jokes for Amazon? I am both a seller and a prime customer, and I have seen the opposite. Prime packages are getting slower and slower. Amazon no longer stands behind the 2-day delivery "guarantee" "speed quote" "advertised speed" or whatever like they used to do. Today's Prime shipping speed is you get it when you get it, and if it is late, oh well...

Everything Amazon says has to be run through the double-speak filter.

Digging through the articles, the closest thing I can find to back up the speed claim is this: "more than 5 billion items have arrived the same or next day globally—a new record". They are conflating "our successful anti-trust behavior has increased our volume at every speed" with "highest average speed."

They are a metrics-driven company, so certainly they can offer up data on the standard deviation of delivery time, which we all believe has increased. At the same time they say "prime is better" in order to win the buy box, while ensuring that FBM is in fact often faster, by absurd OTDR rules (designed to force us to FBA).

They also tout "safer employee" data, while carefully avoiding the fact that their driver fleet is largely contracted, and forced to work at unsafe speeds to not lose their houses (see also the stories of the top energy drink on Amazon coming from discarded drivers' P bottles).

Among the benefits of Prime touted in these articles: ad-free listening. And yet ad-free viewing is a thing of the past, and ads now make up the largest profit center for this piece of garbage company.

You should invest in cleaning house and reestablishing your customer service and A-Z claims dept. You're constantly berating your sellers and allowing scammers to steal countless amounts from them.

This is completely untrue for some customers. I canceled Amazon Prime because though it was getting more expensive, my shipments from Amazon were not shipped for several days, sometimes weeks, and they were delivered in 2-3 weeks. There was no 2nd Day Air. And it seems that the Next Day Air option was completely canceled.

It's funny. As a reseller on Amazon I have to get packages out within 24 hours in most cases. Sometimes within minutes of the order comes in before 2 pm. Amazon rarely if ever plays by the same rules.

I am not a Prime member, nor do I even shop on Amazon, but I know for a fact that Prime orders are, overwhelmingly, very slow to ship.

There is no bragging to be done here.

You know what would be faster? Having our FBA shipment being sent to the closest fulfillment center. You're already charging us inbound placement fees why not give us the closest location? Help your selling "partners" out. Had one go from oregon to florida and end up in texas. 2 weeks of travel when we could of had it sold before it even made it to florida.
