Requesting Payment for our Sales
I think it's time that Amazon automatically released payment for our sales as soon as we have sold our products or if not straightaway, at least every 24 hours without us having to go through the system of requesting it. It is our money afterall.
It works perfectly well on other sales platforms where they automatically release funds to the sellers. I just find it wrong that we have to 'Request' money that we have earned through our sales.

Most of us would probably agree with you, but all sellers are now on the DD+7 payout policy, unless you were invited to extend the policy implementation date to September next year.

If left to run Amazon automatically processes disbursements every 2 weeks. For many businesses that works well as a balance between cashflow and not consistently spending time on accounting. Every business is different.

I would also like it if we could get out payments quicker., it makes accounting more difficult for me the way it is currently.
But that might make our fee's go up. Amazon is fairly good on it's fee rates to sellers compared to some other platforms. So if i have to choose between quicker payouts or lower fee's then i would stick with the longer payouts and prefer the lower fee's.

You’re not the only one who feels this way. It seems like Amazon thinks we’re criminals who are going to run off with our customer’s money but apparently we’re also their sales partners. It’s like they’re intent on ruining peoples businesses.

To be honest, WE should be charging interest to Amazon for holding our money. Clearly they make so much money off it, which is why they are extending the withdrawal times.
We think they're silly, and making a silly system which doesnt work for us. They dont care if we run off with the money or never refund customers really. In reality, everything boils down to lining thier pockets. Thats all.

eBay is weekly
Amazon is every 2 weeks automatically (but you can request earlier manually - except for funds held under DD+7)
TikTok Shop is every month (and they also have the equivalent DD+7 policy like Amazon)
So it does vary across marketplaces
To be honest I dont find it a great onus. I just treat them all like a savings account. I know the money is there and will come to me eventually. I usually buy goods on 30 day payment terms so I just make sure I will have the funds disbursed and in my account when payment is due. So for me its not a great hardship - but I am sure there will be many who disagree. But each business is different.
