Hi @Seller_Iq1kq2nFrHxHu,

Thanks for the question! AWD is a third-party logistics program that provides long-term, upstream bulk inventory storage that’s cost effective. In addition, the program automatically replenishes your inventory in Prime-ready fulfillment centers.

For more info and FAQs, I'd recommend starting with the program page linked above and the help page here. After that we'd love to answer any specific questions you may have!

Regards,

Topher

Hi @Seller_Iq1kq2nFrHxHu,

I'd like to add to @Topher_Amazon's response and help explain the differences between FBA and AWD!

AWD is Amazon's third-party logistics program for bulk storage. According to the AWD overview page, it automatically replenishes your FBA inventory and you only pay when sending inventory - there's no enrollment fee.

There are some important rules to keep in mind. In the "Shipments not supported" section of the AWD terms and conditions, it states that you can't:

  • Send FBA shipments to AWD facilities
  • Send AWD shipments to FBA centers
  • Combine FBA and AWD shipments in one truckload

Since you're looking into this now, I should mention there are some upcoming changes. The "Fee rates" section of the AWD fees page shows that starting April 1, 2025:

  • The current "integrated rate" will be replaced with a new "smart storage rate"
  • Processing fees will be split into separate inbound and outbound charges
  • You can save 20% on storage fees and 10% on transportation fees by using Supply Chain by Amazon Managed Service

Just so you know, AWD is currently only available in the US.

Hope this helps explain the key differences! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards, Michael
