I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone (re forum guidelines)
I was having a conversation with @Connor_Amazon on the thread "Payment Request Button." As I was trying to process his/her last response to me and preparing my reply, I suddenly found that the thread had been locked!
This may seem like a big nothing to some, but to me it is relevant and important. (And should be important to Amazon!)
On that thread, I was trying to explain to this mod that the forum guidelines he/she linked there do not say what Amazon thinks they say. Bear with me.
Here is a brief quote from the guidelines as to what I mean:
To make the most of the Seller Forums community, we recommend the following tips for engagement:
▪ Content that demonstrates no relevance to selling in Amazon’s store, or disrupts the effective use of the Seller Forums in any way.
Anyone with a knowledge of basic English grammar can see that that quote (in error, of course) is "recommending...content that demonstrates no relevance to selling in Amazon's store...," etc. And this subsequently applies to every statement beyond that, a list of nine points. But this is obviously NOT what Amazon is trying to say here!
So I am totally perplexed as to why I got the responses I did. It seemed there was no "engagement," no understanding. It was like we were speaking two different languages. I got no acknowledgment of the issue, no direction as to how to "report" this rather significant error. And then the thread was locked...
I am tagging @SEAmod for a second opinion, please?
I'll be over here in the Twilight Zone if anyone has any thoughts on this.

Hi @Seller_roNdLQpqbVoOH,
This is Josh from Amazon. Thank you for contacting our Forums!
I understand about the situation you are mentioning in this thread. I reviewed the Seller Forums Guidelines and noticed the same error that you did. I am totally on your side; I believe that it can be confusing. Therefore, I will attempt to escalate this to an internal team for further review. I am not sure how long it will take, however, I will do my best to find the appropriate team to review the situation further.
In the meantime, please bear with me until I get more updates so I can get back to you.
Kind regards,
Josh
