Will Opting OUT of the "In Stock Head Start Program" Help with Pending Orders that are weeks old?
When items are inbound, many units become "Active" and they are not anywhere near the final FC center and customer order dispatch date ranges are sometimes over a month out. Im noticing customers still end up placing orders, and many orders end in Pending status for weeks, and many for months. Im guess this is due to having been opted into the head start program.
Will opting OUT of this program fix this issue? What I'd like is to be have my inventory only be active once it reaches the final FC and available for sale with 2 day prime (and not have Amazon make my inventory available for purchase weeks in advance).

@TaylorR_Amazon - Can you shed some light on this matter? If someone wants to only sell inventory when its fully settled at the final FC - and available to the end Customer in 2 day FBA prime instead of the future range of dates - will opting OUT of the In Stock head Start" program help with this?

Greetings,
Yes, to my knowledge that would help accomplish what you're describing here. From the Seller Central page on the In-Stock head Start program:
"If you have created a shipment that’s on its way to a fulfillment center, we’ll use that information to estimate the in-stock date for your products and provide an estimated delivery date to customers. If you haven’t created a shipment, or if we aren’t confident of a shipment’s arrival date, a “Temporarily out of stock” message will display. These products will not display an estimated delivery date to customers."
So opting out of the in-stock head start program would remove those estimated delivery dates based on the estimated in-stock date.
Let me know if you have any additional questions or thoughts.
