Status of New Product, Prior to Inventory Being Available
We are launching our first product on Amazon and will be fulfilling via FBA. We have our product listing nearly complete. After our product is completed and approved, I assume it remains in an "inactive" status until inventory is available? Since we cannot send inventory in to Amazon until the product listing is approved, there is obviously a delay between when the listing is approved and when units are available to sell.
So I guess I'm trying to confirm that, once my product listing is approved it doesn't immediately show up on Amazon for buyers to see, but with zero available for purchase.
Thanks.

Greetings @Seller_flmwVs0bEXTZd,
Thank you for reaching out with your question. If the product is in the catalog and approved it may be seen by buyers but cannot be purchased if no inventory is available. So based on my understanding of your post your understanding is incorrect. Once the ASIN is approved and live the product detail page may be viewed on the Amazon website, but with none available if there is no inventory available. If you have more specific questions please reply with your most recent Seller Support Case on this issue.
Thank you for your understanding.
