WARNING Amazon just issued a full refund for an item not delivered yet!!!!!
I shipped an item Tuesday 1/18 and the deliver by date is 1/24. I just received a Return Authorization Notification and upon checking it noticed the buyer claimed the item arrived too late. AMAZON issued a FULL REFUND before she received the item!!! Amazon refunded her today, 1/20!! The item is still in transit so the buyer gets the item for free. Seller Support says file a SAFE-T Claim but the order isn't eligible so Support is researching what to do. I"m 30 minutes into a the call and Support says call USPS and ask them not to deliver the package! Or, wait until the package is delivered and file a SAFE-T claim but that's not your best option. NO it's not! They denied my claim for an item so severely damaged it's blatantly obvious after Christmas, and ignored my appeal. This is outrageous!

Are you sure it was a refund and not just a return authorization?

Today is 2/20 -- so unless the other dates are wrong, this was well overdue -- almost a month.

You better make sure you're putting the correct dates. Here you say you shipped the item on 1/18 with a delivery date of 1/24. I'm guessing you meant 2/18 and 2/24. If you put the incorrect dates in your SAFE-T Claim it is no wonder your claim was denied. Double check your dates. I do agree telling the post office not to deliver is not a bad idea.
