Just because something is not "returnable", does not mean it's non-refundable. Sounds like you are doing FBA, which means CS is out of your hands.

opt out of customer service to be handled by Amazon, if you choose for them to handle cs they will refund at their will. If you handle your own cs requests they cannot do that. You should also state that refunds require returns in your store policy. Some products of course are non returnable by Amazon’s policies.

post.Thankfully I can manage my own returns. Overall it's improved as even Amazon makes returning items more difficult. When people have ro pay send it back (myself included) they reconsider keeping it vs the effort. If it's truly broken or not as described they generally will ship it back
Then you just have to check they didn't lie to you so you can recoup the shipping. I was accused of "not as described" because the shirt was too lightweight. Meanwhile the manufacturer wrote the description for "Lightweight Moisture Wicking Tee" in great detail---------as if the title wasn't enough.

Yeah, my husband bought something on Amazon. I forgot what it was, but anyway, he tried to return it and Amazon told him that there's no need to return the item and that he was going to get a refund. I thought everything was returnable....but I guess not. :/
