Unable to open an Amazon Japan Seller Account from the UK.
I currently have a seller account in the United States, UK.
From the Seller Central dashboard, I followed these steps:
'Global Selling' -> 'Japan' -> 'Create an Amazon.co.jp selling account' -> 'Start Selling Now.'
However, I am redirected to a page that asks me to select a seller and marketplace. The message says,
'Please select a seller and marketplace. You may be trying to sign in with a new device or have cleared your cookies. To get started, please select a seller and marketplace. You can change this selection anytime from the navigation bar at the top of the page.'
Additionally, when I try to register through the Amazon.co.jp seller account registration page (https://sellercentral.amazon.co.jp/home) while logged in with my US account, I receive the message: 'Unauthorized. This email address is not registered as a selling account.'
The options on that screen are 'Register' and 'Return to sign-in page,' but selecting 'Register' redirects me to the Amazon.com Seller Central registration page.
I would like to create a seller account specifically for Japan. Could you please advise on how I can create a seller account for Amazon.co.jp?

Connor from Amazon here, do you get the same error message when you try to expand to Japan with your existing seller account via this link:

if you do, please reach out to seller support directly ; on my end your account is active and you should be able to expand without an issue.
