Selling on Amazon Fees
Would like to understand if seller can claim back VAT that Amazon charges as fee on each item that is sold ? Noticed via Tax library that Amazon release Seller Fee Invoices and a monthly Merchant VAT invoice, so each product sold, 20% VAT is charged. This is basically VAT on Amazon selling fee.

Yes, since August last year Amazon has charged VAT on seller fees.

You aren't registered for VAT so can't claim them back.

Yes, as said - VAT is now charged on Amazon fees, and you can only claim them back if your are VAT registered.
