Seller offers a $50 gift card to customers for leaving 5-star review.
Seller includes a QR code in the product packaging that customers can scan to activate a warranty. However, the intent behind this QR code is to direct customers to a page offering a $50 gift card as an incentive for leaving a 5 stars review.
Will Amazon do something about this?

Wow, the product costs just $59.99, yet they offer a $50 gift card for a 5-star review.

I get a lot of packages daily from Amazon and so many have things like this. Usually they are not so subtle with hiding it in a QR code. Personally, it's not worth my time to report it and the average customer has no idea this is against policy, so likely it will not get reported. Even if it did, they are from China so the rules don't apply...

WARNING for all that read this :) WATCH out, Amazon will find out and they will suspend your account for feedback manipulation . Not if, when... I did not even know I was doing something wrong when I was reaching out to customers who had issues to help them out. When I took care of them I asked them to leave us a review if they were happy. Never mentioned 5 star or anything but just wanted to see if I could get a few extra reviews. It was not needed to get help but I just asked. Amazon shut us down for over a week! I was scared to death because this was going to bankrupt my wife and I. We did get it fixed and I had to address the issue and find every single message I had sent and put it into a document plus a lot more. It was horrible. We now NEVER say anything to our customers about anything and now do not offer any help at all. I hate doing this but I am not about to take the risk of offering any help if its perceived by Amazon as a manipulation attempt.
WATCH OUT! This kind of stuff will cost you dearly so follow the Amazon policies to a "T". Enjoy!

How can customer report the seller for these kind of things
Seller_QhvrIp4npKDGG
There are products out there that just can't keep up with all the reviews they are getting. And not just any ole review....all of it 5 stars and the reviewers write these long effusive stories. The fact is getting reviews out of people these days is like pulling teeth and then they'll write you maybe two lines. These products with their thousands of 5-star reviews just stink to high heaven. They must be up to something.

In my opinion: This seller is doing Feedback manipulation (Bribe).

Yup they get all 5 star reviews and then change product out to a crappy product, keep same page and reviews. i reported this to amazon several times over the years as a customer and still nothing happens!

Hello @Seller_aOLpV4D3DKCS1
Following up on this thread, as other peer seller mentioned, these type of practices, are against Amazon selling policy section:
Ratings, feedback, and reviews
You may not attempt to influence or inflate customers’ ratings, feedback, and reviews. You may request feedback and reviews from your own customers in a neutral manner, but may not:
• Pay for or offer an incentive (such as coupons or free products) in exchange for providing or removing feedback or reviews
• Ask customers to write only positive reviews or ask them to remove or change a review
• Solicit reviews only from customers who had a positive experience
• Review your own products or a competitors’ products
Please proceed to report a violation, if you do the test buy please provide Order ID and images. They will start investigation and will take the necessary actions to the account.

Any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out our support channel.
Regards,
JiAlex
