Use Vine review Images & Videos in My Listing or Ad?
Hi,
We received some Vine reviews on one of our products, and a couple of them include useful video content. We’re thinking of editing the video (e.g., trimming, adding branding, and making it look different) and then using it in our product listing or Sponsored Brand Video ads.
Is it allowed to use a modified version of a Vine reviewer’s video, or do we still need permission from the reviewer?
Want to make sure we're following Amazon’s rules.
Thanks!

Hi @Seller_CERPzEGIsU2Dl,
From what I can tell, there isn’t a definitive written rule on using Vine reviewer videos in your own product listings or ads.
Here’s what I found in Amazon’s official help pages:
- The Vine Terms and Conditions (> link <) state that Amazon owns the rights to Vine reviews (including intellectual property rights).
- Amazon’s Intellectual Property Policy (> link <) makes it clear that you shouldn’t use photos or videos you didn’t create yourself or don’t have permission to use. Asking the reviewer is not an option. The Vine program doesn’t allow any direct contact or outreach to Vine Voices.
Based on these policies, I would play it safe and avoid using Vine reviewer videos in your listings or ads, unless you receive explicit permission from Amazon.
This is just my understanding from reading the help pages, so if you want to be certain, I’d recommend opening a support case to get an official answer before moving forward.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Michael
