Amazon just hit us with compliance requests for our supplementsโwithout any prior warning or notification. Now, our $1M/mo SKU is suspended right in the middle of Q4, when sales are supposed to be booming. And the worst part? There's no way to test our products in advance.
Amazon suspends your listing and then expects you to send your products to a lab for testing. The issue is, that process takes at least 50 days, leaving us unable to sell in the meantime.
This feels incredibly unfair. Is there any reason we shouldnโt be given a heads-up before our ASINs are suspended, especially when we have huge inventory levels? This not only ties up our capital but also leads to skyrocketing storage fees.
Are we completely helpless here? Or should Amazon be giving us the chance to do compliance testing before pulling the plug? If they really cared about sellers, they'd set up a system that allows us to prove compliance before suspensions happen.
Itโs frustrating to see such a massive platform that claims to support sellers turn its back on us in critical times. This situation makes it clear that Amazonโs priorities may not be aligned with the sellers who help fuel their marketplace.
What are your thoughts on how to handle or reduce the impact of this situation, Is anyone else facing similar challenges? Iโd value your input on potential solutions!

You have 4 or 5 other stores, looks like you should be giving them more time and energy until your supplements are tested and given a clean report.

I know this is a financial blow, but I'm for one glad to see Amazon enforcing Federal laws. There are too many areas of the law affecting product safety that Amazon just ignores. For example, many sun protection factor (SPF) products sold on Amazon don't comply with U.S. regulations, and Amazon does nothing to stop the practice. Food safety issues are also routinely ignored. Hopefully, Amazon is beginning to realize that online marketplaces are not above the law.

OP is a middleman. You say 4 or 5, but I count at least TWENTY-THREE. It looks to me like he sets up stores for people on Amazon and handles it all. So basically he has no idea what is required for these businesses to sell. He is selling the supplements on a business he set up for selling on Amazon for a different business who hired him that sells supplements. What's more THEY are probably resellers too.
There's NO way OP could be up on all the requirements all these different companies have for all their products. This is a disaster waiting to happen. I hope I never used any of these supplements

The compliance is a joke. We have submitted thousands of them and for some they approve and others that are just a different size or color but the same product they reject and delete the product. We have lost hundreds of reviews because of them deleting children skus. Shame on Amazon!!!!

Yep. Note that among his other posts are spam (hopefully deleted by now) offering his services, and another stating that he once got suspended for violating dropshipping rules.
I'm always suspicious of someone who has never posted on the forums, suddenly appearing and offering what he thinks is sage advice.

I think it's time to fix that profile description

Just sayin' Amazon did make a huge announcement this was going into effect a few months ago. Shame on any supplement who doesn't get tested in advance. I have purchased supplements off Amazon and found one listing that lied and said it was certified and made in the USA. I investigated after I got sick taking something I normally take (just tried Amazon again) only to learn nothing had been tested. Listings like this are the reason we, as sellers, are loosing Amazon customers.

This whole thread is unsettling.
Seems like a topic that might benefit from mod involvement.
I see one stopped by to "edit," but not to address the issue directly.

Shouldn't you have had testing done BEFORE you were selling a product that people put into their bodies?

I still do not understand why would you be selling it without lab test done. Its beyond common sense to have health supplement to have lab tested and certified and it costs not much and you would not be getting your money held by Amazon if you have it ready.
