How to file Damage claim with UPS
Folks - please advise.
It was an expensive item and Amazon doesn't let us take insurance for more than USD 999 anyway so it was a gamble that we took. Apparently, item arrived damaged.
Can someone please advise how to file Insurance claim with Amazon as we used Shipping and Insurance with them. Any advise would be appreciated.

According to this policy page:
"File a claim with UPS
Amazon’s Buy Shipping service enables you to access shipping solutions offered by a network of shipping carriers, including UPS. When you use Buy Shipping and related services from UPS, you must file claims of loss or damage directly with UPS regardless of whether UPS charges a Buy Shipping service fees to your Amazon account or linked UPS shipper account. Amazon may not file claims on your behalf or reimburse you for any successful claims. Upon successful resolution of a claim, UPS will reimburse you directly to the extent such payments are required by UPS terms and conditions.

I'm still trying to figure this out also. Because amazon refunds orders but to file a claim with UPS you have to show proof of damages. Which amazon does not require the customer to prove for whatever reason. I am going to call UPS tomorrow in hopes that the delivery driver has a picture of proof of delivery that will show if the box is actually damaged or not. I'm not sure if that will work for a safe-t claim or not but that's my last hope.
