Incorrect Return Processed - A to Z claim lost - Appeal refused
A customer purchased a rug from us but returned a mattress instead using Amazon’s return courier, Evri. The return photo taken by Evri clearly shows a white mattress being returned instead of the rug.
Unfortunately, someone at our company mistakenly accepted the package, not realizing it was an incorrect return. We provided Evri’s return proof to the A-to-Z claim, but our appeal was still denied.

I just don't have any advise on what to with amazon but I think you must report this to the police.
It is in such instances that I die to know who this thieving buyer is!

Rather than the police, try Action Fraud.
