Vine Reviewers should pay for the product when they are not submitting their reviews - Very disapointing
We are launching new products on Amazon and give away a lot of products for Vine Review. However, the vine reviewer rate is only about 50% from the people who request the product almost a month ago. We called Amazon and was told there is no way to request them to send in their review and there is no time limit when they need to write the review. The reviewers are actually not obligated to write a review. We felt we are giving away the products to Amazon's vine review customers for free and Amazon does not care about our right. Amazon would not allow us to hire reviewer, and when we ue their reviewer, they are not even obiligated to write reviews. It is hard enough to earn any money from all the raised fees by Amazon and now they are asking us to send in free products for their customers so Amazon can give it away for free and without obiligation!! Even if we pay for the program, there is no promise to get reviews. This program is taking advantage of us as Amazon suppliers as there is no clarity to the process of who will be qualified as Amazon reviewer and what if they do not do their job, there is no panalty to them taking free products. I feel if they take the products and not send in reviews, they should at least pay for it as a purchase.

Or when they leave a review that says they might use a part of the product, but the rest will go in the trash. Why is the Vine Reviewer even taking the product if they know they won't like it? The detail page is very clear on what you're getting.

I understand your concern. I only hope that other sellers will visit these forums and read about other sellers' experiences with the program. It could possibly keep someone else from joining the program without understanding the potential impacts.
