Negative Feedback on an Item I didn't even sell and Amazon won't fix it

A buyer left a seller feedback (not product feedback) describing a negative experience including a description of a product we don't even sell! The customer said they ordered live worms and they all died in shipping. I don't even sell live worms!

Order # 112-0259051-6703443

I tried to use the feedback removal tool but was instantly denied and Amazon's decision was that the feedback was valid. There was no way to escalate this or reopen the case.

I decided to request a call and I discussed with a phone agent and they acknowledged that I didn't sell any live worms and the feedback was meant for another seller but stated they had no way to remove it or change it and that my only course of action was to ask the buyer to revise it.

I went to ask the buyer to revise it and it is an automated email that didn't give me an opportunity to explain the mistake, it just said something like, "we think we resolved your issue and would like to ask you to consider revising your feedback." So obviously that isn't likely to work with the buyer - if they even knew how to get to the screen to revise a feedback!

So I took to social media and got a response from Amazon Seller Help official account and they told me if I tried to open a case about seller feedback outside of the feedback tool that it would likely lead to an account suspension! And that this matter was considered settled and final!

So I have to accept negative feedback (my only feedback PERIOD in 2 years of daily sales) on a product I never even sold. I can't wait to sell through my inventory and close my account as the seller support and service from amazon is literally criminal.

What you ae experiencing happens a hundred times a day or more. Amazon has no interest in fixing those sorts of problems because there is no profit for the company for doing so. That is why feedback is run by one Bot.

Just make sure you respond setting things straight. Potential buyers reading the feedback will understand.

Amazon is not a good business partner . fire them and move on. I sell on bandannas on amazon. I get bad reviews on stuff I don't sell, bad reviews from other venders, bad reviews from customers who are just bad people or having a bad day. it is a comical relief when I get these reviews . laugh and move on with your life . remember you do not work for amazon.

I recently had this same issue. I corrected it by emailing the executive team (jeff@amazon.com). Please note you do not want to email them often. In the last 15 years, Ive emailed them 4 times.

Describe your issue in detail, let them know that you take your Amazon selling account very seriously and that a negative feedback for a product you don't sell hurts your overall account.

After about a week they messaged me back letting me know they verified that the buyer left a feedback for the wrong seller and removed it.

Open a case with Seller Support, be sure to include screenshots of everything. Come back here and tag moderators. It may take some time but the moderators normally get it fixed when escalated.
