Changing packaging dimensions on listing
Hi Amazon team,
I tried changing packaging dimensions on my listing but received this notification:
"You are not qualified to change the Package Dimensions. Please provide the suggested new product information, which will be communicated to the brand owner."
I am the brand owner through Brand Registry. I checked with Customer Service and was told to delete the listing and relist. I have explained to the representative that I have items being shipped to FBA warehouse and they said it was okay. I asked if my FNSKU is going to be changed, because I have printed them all on my packaging, to which I was told it would not.
Can I confirm what the problem is and if what was told to me true - that I should just delete the listing, relist and I would have no changes to my FNSKU and no issues with my incoming shipment.

That is correct. Sellers cannot edit their listings. This is to prevent hackers doing it for you in a bad way, which used to be the norm on the site, So now, no one can do it.
If you create listing, Amazon expects it to be perfect with the first submission. You can save the listing as a Draft and tweak it prion to the final submission.

If you do this, you will find out that the Rep is definitely not a seller on the site, because it will not work. When attempting ro do this....
- When relisting under the ASIN no part of the Amazon page can be changed.
- When attempting to create a new listing for the same product with the new corrections, you will be told the item already exist on the site and directed to the original product listing.
- To create an actual new different listing, you will need a New Title and a New UP from GS1 in your brand name.
Hopefully you did nt just send the product to FBA blindly without test selling the item by FBM first. When test selling using FBM first all the details can be worked out ahead of time, eliminating FBA problems. In addition, you would be selling the product yourself while being places in limbo by Amazon.
Your best solution is requesting a product check on the size and weight, then wait for the results.
