List price changes by amazon
Hi! I want to know if this has happened to anyone and what have you done about it:
Every time I do a promotion be it a price discount, coupon, prime discount, amazon redefines my list price to a lower one, even though that price they define, does not appear anywhere
As a result prime discounts and coupons must have a higher discount to meet the minimum
The seller central associates seem to have no idea what I am talking about, they say that it is a price that amazon defines in comparison with internal and external competitors but it only happens when I configure a discount or coupon, if there are no discounts, the list price returns to be the real price, in fact, my product has a variation and with this does not happen the same, the list price does not vary, then what comparison can they make if the variation itself keeps the same price.

Hello @Seller_UNknVkHB4hNJ6- and thank you for looking to the forums with this question.
I wanted to help share some resources that could be useful in approaching this. First, here is our policy on Reference prices, which advises the following requirements for List prices, and may be something to check!
- "The List Price you provide should represent the price at which you, or other retailers or sellers, have recently made or intend to make substantial sales of the product in question.
- You also are responsible for ensuring that the reference prices you provide to us remain current."
It also states that "If Amazon cannot verify your List Price, we might not use it."
If you haven't yet, I'd recommend updating the list price using an inventory file upload, per the instructions on this help page, if manual updates haven't resolved the issue specific to a promotion.
It may also be beneficial to confirm there are no unexpected promotion stacking going on, which you can review on: Stacked promotions.
I hope this is useful, and thanks again for posting here on the seller forums!
