A to Z granted for past return window

I had an order on sept 13th with delivery by the 18th. according to amazon TOS the customer has 30 days +15 days to return an item from last projected delivery date. that 45 day window is on November 2nd the customer handed the item to ups on November 9th, we informed the customer that we can no longer accept the return and to send us a label and we will be happy to ship the item back to them. the customer then went to open an a to z against us and it was granted as well as seller funded. The item is way past the return window and amazon should never hand granted the claim. I have tried to appeal multiple times but they keep saying they are standing by there decision. I am looking for a reimbursement.

If the buyer printed out the label in September, they could use it pretty much whenever they want to return the item. What was the Claim reason?
