Free replacement for FBA order?
Hello everyone.
I see there is an FBA return order, and the return reason is DAMAGED BY FC, detailed-disposition state CUSTOMER_DAMAGED. so, for what I understand, this item gets damaged either by customer or the item get damaged when amazon fulfill this order. No matter what, this item is not sellable when this item returned to inventory. Amazon just send customer a replacement for free and deduce one unit from my inventory. There are no reimbursements from either customer or Amazon for this damaged return. Dose this is the normal process for this situation?
seller is going to cover the return item that damaged either by customer or amazon fulfillment center?
I would like to ask seller support, but I believe here will get a better help.
Thank you very much.

You are responsible for "customer damage", sucks, but it is what it is. Amazon may send a replacement if the item was "non returnable"
Other items, Usually the buyer will get charged for the replacement, if they do not return the original item within 30 days.

Hi @Seller_LOUwCeXuerd7U,
Thank you for reaching out on the seller forums! Happy to see that @Seller_4zBzdtgCyS9EIwas able to provide you with an answer here. (Thank you, Its_all_Nuts_again!!)
Please note that when a unit is labeled as customer damaged, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the item itself is damaged (for example: external packaging may have been opened, etc.), but it cannot be sold again in that condition. When this happens, the customer is refunded but the unit stays in your inventory as unsellable. However, you can request to have the unit returned to you. For more information on how to move forward with a removal, please refer to the Remove Inventory Overview.
Now, if a FBA unit is lost or damaged at a facility or by a carrier operated by Amazon or on behalf of Amazon, Amazon will replace that item with either a new item of the same FNSKU or you will be reimbursed for it. For more information on this process, please read through the FBA inventory reimbursement policy.
I hope this helps clarify a bit further! If you have any additional questions or need further assistance with this, please let me know.
All the best,
Jameson
