cheapest way to get rid of 1,000 books to close FBA account

I do not have time to manage the books anymore in my FBA inventory.

What is the cheapest way to get rid of the 1,000 books I have?

I am being charged each month and the FBA inventory is now COSTING me

more money.

You're not going to like the answer....but you have 3 options (as I see it).

1. keep lowering the price until they sell

2. dispose order

3. removal order

Note: removal and disposal orders cost the same. You'd have to do that math as to which is best for you. Can you mark them down enough that they will sell? Or are they books titles with very little interest?

Perhaps @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl has some insights.

Your best bet is to lower the prices a bunch. Reprice so that you break even, or make a few pennies per sale. The goal here is to price so low that you get the buy box because nobody else will go that low.

Do this for a two months. Then pay to have the rest disposed.

Don't bother with removal. If you can't sell them at breakeven through FBA, you won't be able to sell them profitably through FBM.

EDIT: If you have some expensive books, you might make a few bucks by dropping the price 50% during the first month, then down to breakeven for the second month.

EDIT2: During the second month, you might even tolerate selling at a loss, as long as the loss is less than disposal cost.

EDIT3: Don't let this go on for more than two months. If you have been selling on Amazon for a while, you have sold the good stuff, and most of your leftover stock is probably dregs. Don't stretch it out.

Hi @Seller_iVyIaM5uV5Teo,

Dominic from Amazon here, a few sellers have given their feedback. @Seller_Hi7wbO2Kbo6bl and @Seller_z3XfkorVSmnEY are experienced Sellers and give great advice. If you would like more information on removing inventory from FC's you can find that here: Remove inventory from a fulfillment center

Best,

Dominic
