These brands don't want new, small sellers. They have their whitelist with authorized big volume resellers. No chance that you get authorization from Adidas to sell their products on Amazon. Generally, for any brand you want to sell on Amazon you need:
1. A "Letter of Authorization" from the brand allowing you to sell their brand on Amazon.
2. INVOICE (not receipt) from an authorized distributor. An invoice is a document with your name and address, exactly how you registered it in your seller account under "Legal Entity" and "Official Registered Address". And an authorized distributor is a company authorized by the brand owner. If you buy on the WEBSITE of a brand, you get a receipt and not an invoice.

Hello.
Never.
I encourage you to change your thought process. Amazon selling can be an immensely fun logic puzzle. Its nice to know where the top brands are, what the top brands to support are, and how to change your business accordingly to maximize profit and sales....etc.
Its also nice to have your own brand on Amazon. Picking the color schemes, 3P ads, and even orchestrating marketing emails within the Amazon platform.....etc.
But its dangerous to want to sell on Amazon because you believe you can sell Adidas products for "pocket money". I understand you are a new seller but I have been here for 10 years now. Believing you can sell Adidas products on this platform is a path to a lot of money lost....as well as a path to the dark side.

Good Evening @Seller_WzdrCpMt71tHt,
It looks like you were able to receive some guidance from other folks here on the forums about how to possibly sell Adidas products on Amazon.
If any of their replies helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.
There are categories, brands and specific products that require approval so our customers can shop with confidence here on Amazon. Feel free to take a look at the Categories and products that require approval before jumping head first into purchasing products.
I also wanted to share a link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:
Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured
These documents:
- Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
- Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
- Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.
You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.
A letter of authorization can also be a valuable addition to your selling application if you are sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer.
I also wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell.
Lastly, if you have a relationship with the brand, you can to be added as an authorized 3rd party reseller through Brand Registry (but the brand has to add you on their end). Once that has occurred you can attempt to list again and if you still have any issues reach out to support letting them know you are now in the brand's Brand Registry approved list.
Please carefully review all the feedback your fellow sellers and myself regarding selling application best practices in order to continue moving forward in the application process. Let us know if you have any questions about any of the information provided above. Have a good night.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
